Lincoln Depot Museum Designated
A Blue Star Museum
Free Admission will be available to Active-Duty Military and their families.
The Lincoln Depot Museum is proud to announce their designation as a Blue Star Museum by the National Endowment for the Arts. The Lincoln Depot Museum is one of four Blue Star Museums in Westchester County and one of six throughout the Hudson Valley. Typically, more than 2,000 museums across America participate in the Blue Star Museum program each summer. These include children’s museums, art museums, history and science museums, zoos, and nature centers. You can find participating museums at arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
The Blue Star Museum program is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of War and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.
The 2026 program runs from Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026, through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military–Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard–including Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum. If you are a retiree or veteran, please reach out to the museum you plan to visit directly; many times, they offer reduced or special rates for our retiree or veteran population. The Lincoln Depot Museum has a special lower rate for veterans.
For more information, see the NEA web page for Blue Star Museums. A family member of active-duty military may include a spouse or child, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.
“We are proud to participate in the Blue Star Museum program, said Lincoln Depot Museum President John G. Testa. Our military and veterans deserve our praise and recognition for their sacrifice and dedication to our country. As we celebrate America 250, it is particularly important we honor our active-duty military, veterans and their families at our museum,” added Testa.
The Lincoln Depot Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from April 25th through November 22nd. Visit the museum website for details on upcoming events, www.lincolndepotmuseum.org.
